Cognaize CEO Vahe Andonians Speaks at Yerevan Dialogue on Artificial Intelligence

Yerevan, may 27th 2025

Vahe Andonians, Founder and CEO of Cognaize, spoke at the Yerevan Dialogue 2025, an international forum focused on global challenges and cooperation. He participated in the panel discussion “Deep Dive Into the Unknown: Exploring the Depths of Artificial Intelligence”. The session brought together global experts to address the growing political and societal implications of AI in an increasingly fragmented international landscape.

The panel explored how AI has become a focal point in global power dynamics, highlighting the disparities in technological development across regions and the absence of international frameworks to guide its use. Key questions addressed included the role of ethical governance in AI, the risks of unchecked surveillance, and how to ensure that technological progress benefits societies equitably, not just economically.

Vahe contributed perspectives from his work at Cognaize, where artificial intelligence is applied in high-stakes environments such as financial services, as well as his academic work as a Senior Lecturer at the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management. He emphasized the importance of building AI systems that are transparent and explainable, particularly in sectors where automated decisions can have significant human and institutional consequences.

Other panelists included representatives from the Council of Europe, King's College London, and the Social Web Foundation, with moderation by Erin Watson of Baker & York. Together, the discussion highlighted the urgent need for cooperative, cross-border approaches to AI governance and the value of grounded, practical experience in shaping future policies.
